Festival rules

  1. International folklore festival “Zagreb folk fest” (hereinafter the Festival) is held in Zagreb through summer and winter of 2019 in two terms.
  2. Every ensemble is obliged to prepare 2-3 choreography lasting 7-10 minutes each.
  3. An ensemble is obliged to participate in all activities prepared by the organizer for the participants of the festival (march past, 2-3 performances, TV show…)
  4. An ensemble can perform accompanied by a musical bend or by high quality CD recording.
  5. During the performance the ensemble can highlight the Ensemble table and the flag of the country they are coming from.
  6. Every ensemble should have at least one person who speaks English fluently, and who will be the contact person with the organizer and group’s guide.
  7. Ensemble’s arrival at the Hostel/Hotel is on first day of Festival after 12 o’clock (noon), and the accommodation service starts with dinner. Check out from the Hostel/Hotel is on last day of Festival till 10 am, and the accommodation service ends with breakfast.
  8. An ensemble gets one free accommodation for every 25 paid accommodations.
  9. An ensemble is obliged to pay the festival fee in one or two installments in accordance with the following payment program:
    40% of the total festival fee until March 1st 2019
    60% of the total festival fee until April 15th, 2019
  10. In the case of ensemble’s withdrawal from the Festival, the festival fee is not refundable.
  11. The official invitation letter is sent via post after first installment payment and upon receiving the original application form.
  12. The ensemble will receive the invitation letter from Cultural organization “Croatia folk fest” which is main organizer of the Festival.
  13. Festival’s fee includes:
      • Accommodation and spending the night at the Hostel Arena/Hotel*** in 1/2 and 1/3 rooms, half board, breakfast and dinner buffet service,
      • Accommodation tax and VAT
      • Official tourist guide for Zagreb sightseeing
      • Invitation letter
      • Organizational expenses
      • Presents and diplomas for the ensemble
  14. Festival’s fee does not include:
      • Paying transport expenses for the ensembles
      • Ticket for Thermal waterpark Aquae Vivae
      • Offered facultative field trips
      • Visas and health insurance in Croatia;
  15. Every ensemble has to make a valid travel health insurance for all participants and accompanying staff during their stay in Croatia.
  16. The organizer ensures emergency medical assistance, but any further treatment must be covered by valid travel health insurance.
  17. All minors under the age of 18 are under the responsibility of the person in charge of the ensemble.
  18. The ensembles will on organizer’s demand submit all advertising material (pictures, DVD,…
  19. Every ensemble gets a set of festival souvenirs as a gift.
  20. The organizer holds the right to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances without previous notification.
